I am a certified Reading Interventionist, teacher, wife, and mom to two beautiful children living in Vermont. I grew up here and chose to return here to raise my family. We love being outside!
I am a passionate educator and am always looking for creative ways to make learning fun. While I loved being a classroom teacher, I decided I wanted more time with my young children. As they got older, I realized I missed teaching and have fallen in love with tutoring online. It gives me the best of both worlds! I can make authentic connections with students and help them grow as learners, and also be the mom I want to be for my children.
I went to college at Champlain College in Burlington, Vermont. I graduated with an associates degree in Early Childhood Education and a bachelors in Elementary Education. I taught in elementary classrooms for 7 years, always with a focus and passion for Reading and Writing. I began teaching online in the summer of 2017 and haven't looked back. I enjoy working 1-1 with my students. It allows me to personalize learning and watch them grow in their skills and confidence.

"My 6 and 9 year old both loved the literacy scavenger hunt. First I had them find different things in the house starting with a letter or a vowel sound I gave them. Then they needed to say a sentence using the word. Possibly the greatest value to me is that all these effective tools were collected together in one easy to print document rather than me having to spend my valuable time hunting for them on my own. I've already recommended it to friends and the school my daughters attend. "
